What we help you understand
Prop Firms Index brings prop firm account sizes, fees, trading conditions and payout requirements into a shared comparison format. Our focus is the practical difference between programs: what a fee buys, which rules can end an account, and what has to happen before a reward becomes eligible.
A large advertised account balance is not the same as money you can withdraw or capital you own. We distinguish evaluation accounts, simulated funded accounts and live arrangements when official documentation makes that distinction. A listing is information for further research, not an endorsement of every program a company sells.
Facts you can trace to their source
Our firm and challenge research uses official websites, product selectors, help centers and program terms. Where a public checkout is accessible, we can compare the selected product with its order summary. We identify the source and the date checked so readers can examine the original context.
Official information is still a claim made by the provider. Recording a published payout policy does not establish that the firm has honored every payout. A company address does not establish financial strength. We aim to preserve these distinctions rather than turn a source link into a guarantee.
- Shared firm facts describe conditions that apply across programs, with exceptions stated where needed.
- Challenge records identify the specific model, size, currency and billing basis.
- Source dates describe when information was checked, not a promise of continuous monitoring.
Research and personal experience are different
Reading a rulebook can establish what a rule says. It cannot establish what it feels like to trade under that rule or prove how a support dispute will be handled. Our reviews must explain the evidence behind their conclusions.
We use language such as “the published terms state” for documentary findings. Statements such as “we purchased,” “we traded” or “we received a payout” require a record of that specific activity. Reaching an order summary is not a completed purchase. An example calculation is an illustration, not a trading result.
A review may be detailed and useful without a personal trading test. Its limitations should be visible so that the reader can decide how much weight to place on it.
A score needs an explanation
A firm can have a factual profile before it has an editorial score. Pending means the manual assessment is not complete. It does not mean a zero rating, a poor experience or an implied recommendation.
When an assessment is published, the score uses five equally weighted criteria: rule clarity, total costs, payout conditions, program flexibility and company transparency. The rating guide explains what each criterion measures and how the average is calculated. Readers should consider the reasons and limitations alongside the number.
Our score is an editorial judgment about the evidence reviewed. It is not a probability of passing, a prediction of future returns, a credit rating or a certification of safety.
Pricing with context, not false precision
The same account size can carry different fees because of the program, platform, payout schedule, region or optional extras. We keep these variants separate where the source supports that distinction. Monthly charges and one-time fees are labeled so that a small recurring payment is not mistaken for the total cost.
Promotional prices must identify the applicable code or offer conditions. Eligibility limits, activation charges and later fees matter as much as the first payment. A discount cannot be assumed to apply to every model, every customer or every country.
Prices are snapshots of available evidence. They may change after the displayed check date. We do not continuously verify every checkout or promise that an undated promotion is still accepted. The final order summary and applicable terms need to be checked before purchase.
Commercial relationships and editorial decisions
Our affiliate disclosure explains the current commercial position. If we introduce affiliate links, a qualifying purchase may generate commission. That relationship must be disclosed where it is relevant, and the presence of a commercial link must not be presented as evidence that a firm is safer or better.
A partner must not be able to purchase a higher editorial score, remove a substantiated criticism or approve the conclusion of a review. Writers must disclose relevant employment, consulting, ownership, free-account or other material relationships before accepting an assignment.
A firm may help correct a factual error by supplying evidence. Its disagreement with an assessment is not, by itself, a reason to remove that assessment. Material factual changes should be reflected in the review regardless of whether the firm is a commercial partner.
What our research cannot establish
Public documentation cannot reveal every part of a firm’s finances, decision-making or operational resilience. We do not claim to audit firms, certify their solvency or independently verify every payment they report. Availability and eligibility can also differ by location and individual circumstances.
The United States is a primary audience for our comparisons, but a listing does not confirm that every US resident is eligible. Restrictions may apply by product, platform or state. We describe documented restrictions and encourage readers to check the agreement that applies to them.
More documentation does not eliminate risk. Fees can be lost, accounts can breach rules and companies can change their programs. A high score cannot override a condition that makes a program unsuitable for your circumstances.
Help us correct the record
If you find a wrong fee, unclear restriction, broken source or misleading statement, email contact@propfirmsindex.com. Include the page, the statement in question, the relevant program and a link to current official evidence. This gives us a specific issue to investigate.
We assess corrections against the source and the version or region involved. A confirmed shared-data change should update the places that use that record. If the correction changes the interpretation of a review, the analysis and score also need reconsideration.
Do not send passwords, full identity documents or unredacted trading records. We do not need access to your trading account to investigate a published factual error. We cannot settle purchase disputes or require a firm to issue a payout.
